Is that a Lily-monkey on my back?

Introducing my newest form of baby transportation, the ergo. Its the latest hippy-dippy method of wearing older babies. Its really nice on the back. Much better than the front carriers that make me feel about 7 months pregnant. I'm still working on mastering the move of getting them on to my back without any help. Its a bit tricky. So far, Mark has been my assistant.

Lily gives it two thumbs up. She likes riding close to Mommy. And when she wants to get my attention, she can just pull on my neck curls.

Here's a picture of Elsa talk talk talking. My girls are never at a loss for conversation. We just need to hire a translator to figure out what they are saying. They are so funny. They've started waving to people on the bikepath as they go past. Today, a jogger stopped to chat and they both started making their raspberry noises at her when she turned her back to us. It sounded like they were making "fart" noises. Oy!

Their first birthday is coming up next month. I can't believe it! I'm so excited. I'm already thinking about their celebration. Both sets of grandparents will be there. What do you think? One cake or two cakes for twins?

One big cake and two small cakes for them to enjoy just them. Definitly!

One of my bosses is twin and once spoke to me about how she was made to share everything, including birthday cakes, with her brother while growing up. Apparently she felt this stunted her and is very resentful of forced sharing.

Now, this is not to say that your girls on their first birthday will feel resentful towards each other and their parents because they have one rather than two separate cakes. Especially since they probably don't even understanding numbers or prolonged resentment, but who knows, I'm no baby expert.
