Fun in the sun.
Our family has been enjoying some beautiful summer weather. I can't believe we are going to leave this fair State. I'm getting really sad about saying good-bye to California.

Elsa and Lily filling up the duck pool. They get the biggest kick out of playing with the hose.

Elsa and Lily enjoying a sunny day at Point Richmond Beach. The girls really loved going in the water this time. They showed no fear. I couldn't believe how unusually warm the water was. Too bad we didn't bring our suits.

Lily and Elsa get a sandcastle lesson from Daddy.

Lily filling up her bucket. The girls had fun squishing their toes on the sea kelp.

The other big excitement of the past week...the new slide. Here's Elsa getting ready to try it. Notice Lily's bringing up the rear with beloved Elmo. Our 4-year old neighbor Ruby and her Dad Fred brought the girls over the slide to use until we move away. It was such a nice gift. Elsa took one look at it and said "Coooooool" in her cute, spontaneous slang. They've been talking up a storm. I can't keep track of all their words. They constantly narrate our entire day. I love their voices and how excited they are to try everything. I also love how they interpret words. This morning Lily told me she wanted to read "Dumpy Dumpy" ie Humpty Dumpty. And Elsa got to enjoy her first icecream-cold. (ie cone). They are so adorable.

I would be sad to be leaving CA as well!
Whenever I have a bad day at work, which is often, I come here to your site and look and the pictures of these two beautiful girls and I feel so much better. They are so cute and growing up to be such nice little girls. It reminds me of all the good things out there in this world and what is really important in life. thanks!!
