3,008 miles

We've now made it clear across the country. We've arrived in P-ton. We will get the keys to our new place this afternoon. We had a bit of an eventful trip from IN to NJ with some car trouble along the PA turnpike. Thankfully, everybody is ok. We will get a diagnosis on the car soon. Tomorrow our stuff arrives! I know the kitty will be very happy to stop living in her suitcase.

The girls travelled amazingly well. They didn't even cry in the car (which we were worried about considering their total meltdown on the airplane and drives up and down Indiana). The DVD player for the car was our best purchase ever. Lily especially is a total TV junkie. As soon as we got in the hotel last night, she climbed back in her carseat and tried to start watching tv. Elsa has a bit of a runny nose and a slight fever. Hopefully, she will feel better soon.

We figured out the computer problem...here's some more pictures from our travels.

Lily on the beach in Michigan City.

Elsa on the beach.

Digging a hole with Aunt Cathy, Cousin Lila and Daddy.

Daddy and Elsa in the giant hole.

Grandpa A covering the girls with sand.

Elsa and Lily on Grandma A's lap.

The girls with all their cousins. They had a ball visiting the Beggs (Mark's sister + family) in Kentucky. David and Kaitlin came, too. They just loved playing with their cousin Brian who will be 3 in Oct.

Nice family portrait of the immediate family. We finally got everybody together to pose for a picture.

Still in IN

We're now in southern Indiana, staying with my family (this is Mark posting). Sorry that I won't be adding any pictures for a little while. Somehow or another I managed to do a number on my laptop, and I am unable to use ftp or many other things. I suspect that I will be able to fix it when we catch up to all our stuff in Princeton, but until then, I thought I'd post a quick update.

We will reach our new home in approximately 1 week, and I'm sure we'll get some good new pictures to share then...

Hello Indiana

We're here and having fun! We spent this week in N Indiana visiting the Angyus side of the family. Next week, we head South to see the Pannings. The girls are great travelers and having fun with all their Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunties, Uncles and Cousins. The girls are just in love with their 11-year-old cousin Lila. She's a superstar and so great with the girls.

Some pictures...there are lots and lots.

A visit with the Portland Angyus's two days before we left California. We had a nice time seeing Uncle Joe, Aunt Laura, Joey and Michael! The boys were excited to finally meet some cousins YOUNGER than them! Aunt Laura introduced the girls to the beauty of the candy necklace.

Back in Indiana, Grandpa and Elsa inside the covered bridge at the Lake County fair. The girls got to sit on a horse and thought it was pretty cool.

Lily and Great-Grandma A. We had an overnight visit to Valpo so that the girls could spend some quality time with their Greats! Happy Birthday to Grandma!!

Great-Grandma A brought out the rockinghorse used by her kids. They loved it! This is the same one Grandpa (my dad) rode 50 years ago.

Aunty Cathy is home for the week, too. The girls loved spending time with her. Lily and Cathy bouncing...
