Glorious September
We've had an absolutely beautiful start to September. As if on cue, the weather dropped about 10 degrees, the humidity went away and the sky was a perfect shade of blue. Some of the trees in our neighborhood are already starting to turn. We're ready for Fall. Bring it on! We've survived our first Jersey summer (and actually just completed our first year in the Garden State).
We went on a couple of bike rides over the weekend and had a great time. We found a bike friendly way down to the tow path along the D&R Canal. Just beautiful. Today we saw a turtle and some really pretty birds. There were tons of kayaks and canoes out on the canal.
Busy times. Tomorrow, we have our beginning of the year meeting at the girls' preschool. I've been asked to be the Room Parent, so I now have some administrative duties along with the days we'll be in the classroom. Then on Weds/Thurs we have visit the school so the girls can meet their teacher and hang out in the classroom to get used to the environment. Then, their official first day is on Friday. Very exciting.
Some pictures from today's adventures.

Lily and Elsa buckled up and ready to roll.

Elsa and Daddy at our picnic.

All that riding is hard work.

The girls think Daddy is an absolute hero for pulling them along behind the bike. They get SO excited.

I love that the weather has been beautiful!
I am ready for fall!
Your picnic spot was lovely! It must be a pretty good workout with the bike trailer in the back ...
What a great ride and picnic! This is one of our favorite fall activities too. I love the first photo of the two of them together. Are they very excited for their birthday? Ours are, even though it's not for ages.
