Making a gingerbread house

Yay! Uncle John's here. The girls are so happy to see him. It has been over a year! Today the girls brought Uncle John to see their school, then after school he took us out to lunch and then we had a fun afternoon building a gingerbread house.

Let it snow!

IMG_1470
Lily and Elsa have decided the radiator cover makes for the coziest seat in the house and a lovely perch to watch the first snowfall.

Winter is here. Time for boots, hats, snow pants, mittens and warm winter jackets. Fun. They've been enjoying looking at animal tracks in the snow, building miniature snowmen with their friend Marian and sliding down the sidewalk. They've managed all of this with less than an inch on the ground! Wait 'til we get a big storm.

Lots of things going on . . . I had my first "non-training" week of work. Mark leaves this weekend for a conference in California and Uncle John is coming to hang out with us for the week. Not to mention Christmas is right around the corner. Boy oh boy are Lily and Elsa excited. They can't wait!
